Believe In You

If you ever believe in anything so strongly,
then I hope you do believe in you.
And dismiss all the shit that was said to you, wrongly,
along with that damaging self-talk you tell yourself too.

All I know is that when you get to recognise your own light,
the dim world around you turns a little more bright.
And I know you can list all your weaknesses, but it’s alright,
for I have infinite poems of admiration for you that I can write.
