If you know yourself

You will know the truth you need

Believe In You

If you ever believe in anything so strongly,
then I hope you do believe in you.
And dismiss all the shit that was said to you, wrongly,
along with that damaging self-talk you tell yourself too.

Weighty Words

How can a word cut to my core?
Slicing and slashing its swooping sword,
It amputates limb and severs artery;
Once under my skin, it becomes a part of me. 

Fervently it festers unseen and unheard,
Eluding a simple diagnosis of words,
Invading my mind, body, and spirit
Until we are one, and I’ve come to fear it. 

Believe

Sometimes I lacked the confidence

To try out something new

Despite a burning ambition

To make my dreams come true

Trepidation Flutters

.

Mystery Unfolds

Like Gossamer Wings against Pale Shadows,

Be Not Afraid

.

Though the jagged edge of

Fear and Doubt

Fill the Heart with Trepidation,

Though the wrenching Memory of

Past pains

Sparkle

Love Loves,
Simply. Purely.

Be True

 

If you are True to Who You Are,

The Best of You will Shine through

And be Inescapably Attractive to others.

When I think of how I missed

Taking A Walk – A Sonnet

This is a special kind of reckoned day

when the sun shines loud we know this beauty

everything smooth in sweet glorious sway

we begin to grow life’s reality

As Always, Spring

 

I love spring,

how she yawns and stretches,

quiet confidence;

instinct melded with a trust

that says it’s okay to go.

She was almost fooled

a couple of times this year,

but not enough to daunt

or throw off course.
