Twelve Months Six

by Jem Croucher

No 11 of 12 in the Jemverse ’12 months’ series

Thursday’s child has far to go’
Something I had always known

Born of summer, summer’s child
Often wayward, always wild

My birth month June, the first today
Brings me out to dance and play

For with the summer sunshine brings
Days of warmth and many things

To lift my soul and shout aloud
That Thursday’s child is strong and proud

And June with all around me yellow
Brings alive this summer fellow
