Inside The Mind

A writer uses the mind to traverse the universe
Boundless the words that can be used to explain
They fall to the page in whatever order they may
To explain excitement, peace, visions, even pain.

When I sit at the keys, seldom to I understand
What synapses are going to fire one to the next
Maybe inspiration comes from things misunderstood
Leaving each piece to a smile, at times perplexed.

I feel blessed that others take the time to read
I’ve been told that I write often from my heart
I compose at the keys never quite sure what to say
Never sure what word path I’ll follow until I start.

If you feel the expressions that I pour to the page
I hope you will likewise leave a word to explain
For we all need to take in other words as we read
Or we might not have words to pour out once again.

  1. “I feel blessed that others take the time to read” I totally agree with this! And I agree that you truly write from your heart.
