A TENDER MOMENT PASSES

by thereluctantpoet

By Charles Robert Lindholm

A Tender Moment Passes
In The Wee Hours Of The Night
With A Glimmering Hope Of Passion
And A Spark That Might Ignite

But No Flickering Flame Is Kindled
There’s No Delirious Delight
No Sense Of Need Or Urgency
In The Middle Of The Night

A Tender Moment Passes
Into The Moonlight’s Mist
As It Leaves A Longing Heart
And A Wanting To Be Kissed
