And then it was Spring

by Jem Croucher

And then it was Spring
February gave up the ghost
and the sunshine came back in a day
One day it was winter
The next warmth returned
to bring a resounding ‘hooray’

Spring also in step
I opened the doors
and let the stranger back in
It looked all around
So I said ‘Anywhere
will do for me now” with a grin

The sunshine sat down
and I joined it right there
turning my face to the sky
And seeing the blue
in a moment I knew
That Springtime was back with a sigh

  1. Lovely. We’re almost there. Gosh, it feels almost unbelievable that we are almost into March

  2. Yes, I believe spring is finally on the way!
