Nearing Spring…2019!

 

 

Green buds – the promise of lilac in spring.

 

Glazed sun – accentuates a length of snow.

 

Soon, only dirty, white mounds will show;

 

amid raw ground – not yet conditioned

 

for the season to follow.

 

The chill persists – encouraging indoor comforts.

 

Warm slipper socks – hot tea – a good read and furry company.

 

The only one who enjoys warmer weather, more than myself,

 

is my yellow Parakeet – Goldie.  She loves an actual sunny day!

 

Hopefully, there’s more to come her way.
