Twelve scribings revisited; 10 of 12 in the Jemverse series ‘Malleable Days’
It’s in my garden again
the yellow that speaks of the sun
Forsythia glory shouting aloud
that Springtime has begun
And the green is lusher too
Winter fades away
The grass upon my lawn suggests
it’ll soon be mowing day
The time for that will come
but for now the yellow’s here
Replacing all the winter blues
with lots of Springtime cheer
Twelve scribings revisited; 9 of 12 in the Jemverse series ‘Malleable Days’
In the sunshine today
with freshly mown grass
I caught the fragrance of Spring
And something within
came awake with a grin
as abandon gave reason to sing
For there in a moment
life was reborn
Clicked my fingers and winter was past
The sunshine woke up
and filled up my cup
as Springtime came back at long last
Shouting to the world
laughter grows and gathers pace
to turn back the growing tide
Softened by Springtime
Gentleness and comfort spreads
there with a warming embrace
For life continues
still in these uncertain days
Springtime comes and sun still shines
and mornings still dawn
for days when bright moments can
now be seized, captured and held

Wild Ballet
Today I was witness
to Baryshnikov and Nureyev
in a wild ballet. Such grace!
Such nerve! Such beautiful leaps
as they chased each other
across the meadow stage.
