Coffee

by Emily Page

A hiss of steam, the clanking cups
The bustle of a coffee shop.
Take time to pause.
To catch up.
Drink coffee.
Breathe.
Stop.

A thousand things to think of,
Diary dates and things to do.
People to catch up with, check up on, follow through.

Catching up on emails, send a text, a tweet or two,
But what this really gives me is just the space to think of you.
