By Charles Robert Lindholm

eluding long his captors
and the slavery of the plow
the stallion knows no master
his head will never bow

free to roam the grasslands
he answers to no name
he’ll die before surrender
the king of his domain

he lives a life of solitude
it’s true
he’s seldom with a mate
he pays the price for freedom

living outside the gate
