And so to Friday
for a switch-off come lunchtime
into the weekend
And breathe deep, relax
soak up the fact that this is
deliciously mine
And so it will be
to use wisely and enjoy
pending the new week

Sometimes We Think We Know
But We Really Don’t
Because We Only Have
A Limited View
A Preconceived Idea

And so it's Thursday
another week almost gone
but not to wish time away
I still live each day
to its complete fulfilment
for every day is precious

The man in the mirror
looks back at me
he is a lot older now
He's seen a few things
but still his heart sings
despite the lines on his brow
Maybe he's wiser
and maybe he's not
it's something I'd not really know
but he'll never leave
his own joie de vivre
so he's happy to go with the flow

Soul searchings' sometimes painful
as thoughts they come and go
but if the end result is such
to bring a warming glow
then you've done yourself a favour
as soulshine's what you need
to bring about a joie de vivre
and happiness indeed

The water looked like crystal
as it sparkled in the sun
Like glass its light refracted
for a New Year just begun
A ‘je ne sais quoi’ said something
as a whisper silently
caught and carried by the breeze
across the windless sea
I think it was a promise
though I’m not completely sure
so I will come here every day
to listen out for more

Wisdom
Is Knowledge
Appropriately
Applied
To The Correct
Conditions
Are We Wise?
I Wonder,
But Have
My Doubts
It Seems
That Humanity
Is Quite Susceptible
To Herd Mentality
Leaving The Thinking
And Logical Reasoning
To Others And Then
Waiting For Them
To Explain What To Do
We All Know
Time Flies
And That Life
Is Short
But That Doesn’t
Seem To Stop Us
From Putting
Things Off
To Another Time,
‘Til Someday
We Believe
Since We Woke Up
This Morning
We Will Tomorrow
No Need To Worry
Or Rush Things
All In Due Time,
Someday!
There Is No Someday!
We Only Have Now!
Someday Is The Seductive
Delusion Of Fools
Who Won’t Ever
Turn Their Dreams
Into Reality

Unforgiving
Prejudicial
Or Judgmental

time comes with a lid no handles to hold the night was a thief dark thumbs to wear kept dreams to count love without doors leaves but feathers till days break aloud to let in theives for their tall times
you are the wall you are the mother you are the duck you are the music you are the night you are the sound you are the silence
