SHAME ON YOU

by thereluctantpoet

By Keza/Spiritedsoul And Charles Robert Lindholm/The Reluctant Poet

Your Words
Hurt Me,
Each One
A Pointed Dart

Aimed And Thrown
At My Heart
And Soul

Burning Words,
Like Hot Wax
Spit Upon My Skin

Your Actions
Showed Me Feelings
That Confused
My Tender Heart

Your Memories
Haunt Me
With Shadows
They Still Cast

Ever Present Ghosts
Whispering From The Past

Your Heart
Deceived Me
With Your Professed
Love

Like A Bee
You Fed
On Nectar
From My Flower

Promising
I Was Your
Only Lover

I Learned
That Was A Lie
When You Left Me
For Another

With No Good-Bye

I Still Hear Those
Ever Present Ghosts
Whispering From The Past
