How Will You Walk

 

I felt the warmth flow across my face and remembered you
The sparkle in my eyes was from the reflection of my tears
Standing in the sun with my eyes closed I can still see a smile
But I know that being without you doesn’t give rise to fears.

The Walk

She took me on a walk
And I walked so, on her mind

For moments, it felt water
As I sunk with stones I carried
In my feathered heart
Till I flapped those limbs
To hold edges, back in the eye

A clear Autumn day, not a cloud in the sky
A mist that lies lurking like a child’s forlorn cry
A walk in the morning when no-one’s about
When a whisper is special. ‘cos you daren’t risk a shout

The Way to Work

Up the steps, from the Tube
Fresh air hits my lungs
The noise of busy London traffic roars.

I walk past memories,
Of happy times gone by.
