The sun broke through another day
and found me waiting here
lacklustre in this winter frame
awaiting Springtime cheer
Frustrating as despite the chill
the signs are evident
with green shoots reaching skyward
colour shows its good intent
and yet this lingering chill remains
as sunshine's yellow rays
have yet to seize a hold and bring
a start to warmer days

The full moon rises,
Glistening like a fresh silver dollar
As Mother Earth lets off steam
And unbuttons her stifling collar
To feel the breeze of the Sun’s departure.
Eagerly I wait at the window
For my moon to come home,
So I can feel the breeze of his sigh
As he sits on his leathery black throne
And watches me with contentment from on high.

There’s a room for me here
but not the one I want.
The room I’ve chosen is not available.

On the day we met, a winter storm was brewing just outside
In my heart likewise a tempest brewed which I could scarcely hide
For though your lips were silent, you said tons with your eyes of blue
And I started to save my kisses in a bottle just for you.

never felt so uncomfortablein all of this life
as this drunken woman
to tried to touch me,
I wanted to exit the situation
exit the world

lost the drugs
the girl
the will to live, even

Sunshine in the mirror
Blue up in the sky
reflected in the water
winter hurries by
February receding
March knocks at the door
Spring is quietly waiting
to welcome us once more

Cowering from the winter
Springtime hides away
Hiding in dark corners
through the chill of day
But far from wasting time
a build of confidence begun
which will when time is right
burst out brightly with the sun

by Heather's Starting End

Waiting I was, I had always been,
The question was always for what
A moment, a feeling, opportunity perhaps,
While the answers, I know, I had already got
I waited for change in my life and it came,
Then wished it would go away
Realized this change, I did not want,
Then wished and waited
To have my old way

I’m thinking it over
The way you make me feel so wanted
But later it causes me shame
I want to lean on your shoulder
I wish that I was allowed
But I don’t want to cause any pain
And I’m feeling like we’ve got nothing to gain

Did I tell you…
I’m dying to meet you,
I have to say,
I’m dying to meet you,
in every way.
Put on the kettle,
I’m coming home,
and it will feel,
like you’ve never been gone.
