I have worn my armor

so devoutly

buckled on thick titanium plates

donned my Templar helm

until only eyes

only mouth

were visible

When Doves Cry

holding my heart

like a wounded dove

in my palm

it flutters delicate wings

that tickle fingertips

Bittersweet

life offers me

bittersweet herbs

i place them

on my tongue

wake my taste buds

 

Undone

My quiet

Stretches out

Like a web

Of shadow

Words unsaid

Black diamonds

That glitter

Undone

The question wasn’t complicated,

The answer was.

She asked, “what’s undone in your life?”

I wanted to answer something about

Loves unknown or trips untaken.

I wanted to answer something about

Something invisible-

But my first thought was

“Me, I’m undone.”
