HAIKU: HER HEART IS TENDER

Be gentle with her

NEXT TO ME

I see you with the children
your heart is filled with love
your voice is soft and tender
like the cooing of a dove 

your smile is like the sunshine

Sweet Nothings

life, of intense care
tender loving eyes
decades of work
palms of sweat
deep lines
made soft
in heart
gentle
yet

Images

images in elastic mind
persist a flow, their own

in frames moving slow
change snaps in sync
with the threads of time

Papers Tender

we are papers tender
floating on moving water

You Should Know

If you want to see your worst critic
Just take a look in the mirror to see
We know our faults that may not show
We imagine a better person we might be.

Light Touch

 

When I’m writing simply for the pleasure that I find
Surprising when others’ comments come to mind
Like ‘You are so good with your words” by a vixen
After all I tend to write with thoughts of a woman.

Touch

Life’s events on my head

As beads short and long

Some felt, some unread

Lessons, hard and strong

From brain to finger

Anatomy’s little quantities

Hang on life’s end and linger

Back bone of sharp qualities
