I questioned the bird

The bee

The leaf upon a tree

The earth

The sky

The cloud

The thunder rolling loud

The ocean vast and wide

Pushing at every side

~ You

Who I have watched

Grow weak, weary

Laden

With worry

Anxious of tomorrow

The day’s end,

And long I’ve watched

Rescue Me

Lord rescue me
From this lonely space I’m occupying
Can’t you see how hard I’m trying
To move on with all this pain.
Rescue me,
My heart’s broken beyond my own repair
All I can feel is a dark despair
I want to feel the light I used to see
Rescue me.

I went in search
Of an apple, mystical
Which was ‘right’

You, my season of

Darkness, despair;

I am a Phoenix rising –

Fire in my veins

Wind in my hair

Life light burning

The dew drapes the jasmine
In this garden scented sweet
Wet and chilling the sod
Beneath these tiny feet

Then…

In those youthful years

Ones filled with uncertainty

Self doubt, envies, jealousies

I’d of loved myself more

Thereby loving others ‘as is’

Accepting uniqueness

As a God given gift:

~ Out of the Pain

 

The hurt DIDN’T make me stronger –

I fell through the cracks in my character

‘Til someone cared enough to pull me out

Out of my years lost to the pain

The anger, the stages of mourning

All consuming guilt of survival;

~ Unfathomable ~

~ Unfathomable ~ 

The ceiling of my church is that heavenly vault

Framed by branches reaching high in praise

Hymns, the babbling brooks of water, rock and sands

Together uniting in melodies of worship

Prayers ascend through wafting breeze

Of bushes, branches, of leaves and trees

Here, uninhibited, beyond prying eyes my woes revealed
