I found a song it was lovely
and it gave me a buzz
with a warm mellow feeling
and simply because
music is like that
it causes no pain
though it hits you quite often
again and again
It's a friend and companion
a comfort and more
it's my constant craving
for repeated encore

Salt in my mouth
Braced against wind
Looking to South
Out there in the green
Waves rise and fall
As I listen again
To familiar call
A song just for me
The swoop and the cry
The sea and its music
As seagulls fly by

Beauty is…

Beauty is…

The voice of truth
raised in song
accompanied by heart

The flower tree

Overlooking Falmer
we found a flower tree
High on top of Sussex Hill
quite unexpectedly

Coming Home

From waterfalls to stepping stones, meandering
across history’s bones, I am halted by a sound,
the sound of mandolins.

The song of every ocean

I know you’ve probably heard this
many times before
And the last thing that I want
is for it to be a bore

But the song I hear each morning
at the beginning of a day
Is something I must shout about
in each and every way

Knowing Him

His Voice haunts my mind

Fills my Thoughts and the void

Spilling in Rhythmic Delirium that Entrances

Verbally dances

The music of the ocean

The music of the ocean
the best tune I know
as I hear if very often
when to the beach I go
It’s a full orchestral movement
with the nuances that brings
and the voices of a choir
for the wondrous songs its sings

In the quiet hours before the light

In the mystic call of the seas

Just Fly – children’s dance song

 

 

Just Fly

Not long now

Sunshine in the mirror
Blue up in the sky
reflected in the water
winter hurries by
February receding
March knocks at the door
Spring is quietly waiting
to welcome us once more

Yellow morning song

 

Yellow sky this morning
in a very special way
tells me that it’s going to be
another lovely day
A far cry from the winter
we expect this time of year
as it’s up in double figures
to add an extra dose of cheer

The Music

Back lit through the dry-ice swirl
the player comes to fore
his nimble fingers on the frets
the crowd cries out for more

The singer steps up to the mic
narration in the song
the scene is set, the story told
the crowd sings loud along

The walking to work song

 

With reflections in puddles
as I’m walking along
the timbre of my thoughts
falling naturally to song
the rhythm of the world
helps me hum a little ditty
as it’s mirrored down there at my feet
looking really pretty
