Easy Reach

I found a stone and threw it
far out into the sea
watched it splash and disappear
here quite contentedly
For this haven is my solace
and fortunate am I
to have a beach to come to
not far from home, close by

Move mellow, move mellow
Make my moments melt
Mirrors, mist, melancholy
Memories morbid, meander

Simplicity

A walk on the beach
with time to unwind
is good for the soul
and good for the mind
The air here is clear
and the smell of the sea
is always a solace
and a comfort to me

New lavender

New lavender in my garden
In the space beside the pond
It is fragrant and delicious
But delicate still in frond

Sunshine

 

As if from hibernation
I have woken with the sun
It lifts me from a slumber
When the winter months are done
It bathes me in its brightness
Cleans all those blues away
And perks me up for summer
Yellow filling every day

Silver, Blue,
Pouring, Spilling your skirt of light
Down on all, willing or not

Luna, Luna,
Harsh, Cold
Fields kept open for longer hours?
Casting the shadows of childhood fears?
Keeping roused the restless?
Exposing the mischievous?

A Heart Of Butterflies

I always remember,

How you closed my eyes

To your sweet surrender.

Oh, how time flies…

 

Moments of silence,

Is when my heart shouts loudest.

For my love dwells in solace.

You have a maiden now I must be modest.
