We ventured to the dark side
it’s been well past a year
but with face-masks and some caution
we felt the coast was clear
…
We’d forgotten quite how big it was
miles of shiny treasures
but then these massive superstores
don’t do things by half measures
Again, the season to be jolly?
Again upon us? How appalling.
I missed Black Friday’s online sales,
And visits to the mall are fails–
For gift certificates I’ll soon be trawling.
Christmas coming fast;
Soon the day will join the past.
Plan for the present(s).

Weekend got away;
I missed the sales on Sunday.
Ah, Cyber Monday.
I have a friend who has a very wonderful purse and handbag collection. She has great taste and a great eye for fashion. My friend has been able to have all the great designers in her collection. I have had the fun and pleasure of accompanying her when she has been looking to add to the collection. I can’t see how having a little expertise in handbags can be a bad thing. And I still find it interesting that a wallet can cost more than half of the cars I had in college – a lot more!
Shopping is both an art and a science. It is also a source of great joy and fun. Though it is not a gender specific activity, women seem to dominate it in both arenas. For them it sometimes can be a form of therapy though when done in excess it can cause a husband to seek therapy and/or require that his wife does.
