which I'd planned for myself thinking of it
as a rest is needed sometimes

five days to do little but lounge and be free
which all of you workers will know and agree

Becoming rested

by Jem Croucher
And so it was with week of sun
the holiday was true begun

Easter unexpected

by Jem Croucher

as it was in disguise

so the long weekend of Easter

kind of took me by surprise

Mind you it is a nice one

Holiday V

by Jem Croucher

First day of a week off work
and it’s a welcome thing
as I’m in need of a long rest
a chance to breathe and sing

Put my feet up for a while
with lie-ins every morning
Rising when more sensible
and not when day is dawning

Had a week off
didn’t do very much
just listened to music
and reading and such

Tidied a bit

and to be perfectly honest
that was enough

A Little Piece of Me

by S. K. Reiter

I want and need my quiet time to think and write and be.
A tiny place in the world where I alone am enough and have time wonder, rest and see.
With a few moments to breathe and take care of myself because I am more fragile than I seem.
