POETRY CHALLENGE: FREE VERSE.

The days have turned

to weeks and months; they burn

against my fingertips

as maturing turns to aging. I’ve learned

that it’s not about the quips

of lyricism and tricks and tips,

it’s about not quitting

when your mind starts to trip.

In small ways we fight
In small ways delight
We bring sense to the senses
With music, and dance,
With art, give it a chance
To change your mind
Or point of view
Change what you do
And how you do it
To make positive the world
And your path through it.
