Do I get up. What will I have for breakfast.
Should I have breakfast at all. Will I take the bus or walk.
Talk to a stranger, perhaps not. How do I look today.
How do I feel today. What is my neighbor feeling today.
What is the scientific name for the maple tree.
What is the dog that is barking barking on about.
How shall I get on working today. How shall I have my tea.
Where shall I go to lunch. Is my friend swimming in the ocean.
Is my lover at Smith Tower. Is the grass sad.
How many trees does it take to clothe a mountain?
How many grains form the river’s watershed?
How many drops does it take to fill a fountain?
How many hairs wave and toss upon my head?
Heavens crowd me, preachers press on, gurus
Take me outside and lay me in grass to feed me
(They all lay claim to me),
Hastened as monarchs in their migration
For the sweet milkweed.
Sometimes alone is where all your answers lie;
Sometimes in the wilderness of your thoughts, you’re no longer shy;
Sometimes deep in the silence of solitude, there you find your soul;
Sometimes in the midst of your own space, you get to realise your whole.
Thinking of the questions we daily face
I find that my mind often starts to race
What do I know compared to others around
Are my thoughts clear, are they sound.
I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I’ve watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those … moments will be lost in time, like tears…in rain. Time to die. Roy Batty
I have been so inspired by Brain in a jar and his Matrix trilogy that I have had to do my own Blade Runner directors cut cut . Our styles are different enough for me not to step on his toes and I hasten to add that I urge you to check out his blog if you have not already done so!
