Tea with the Queen

with whistles and dresses for these special times

for tea with the Queen in her garden you know
A privilege shared with the hundreds invited
we're both feeling nervous but very excited
for we know when we get there all will be fine
as it's not every day with the Queen that you dine

Balloons in belly of a sky, in suits tight

Lighter than air, thin as cloud

Feather landing on moon, proud

Quuen-in-law stung, they so fell back in fright

All I can do is glance,

To fight for you I have no chance.

Then I see your smile,

And I feel happiness for a while.
