It’s not fair it’s a shame
Christmas has come and gone again.

I am cold and put on weight
Eating all those chocolates I normally HATE!

The holly has all gone from the halls,

And some one broke my favourite balls!

There is a bit of Christmas tree

Stuck up the most embarrassing PART OF ME.!!

took pride in what he did
He always warmed the teapot
never once left off the lid
He used just the right amount of milk
in the cup first, such was his ilk
and mopped up every drop he spilt
This was his lot in life

aromatic stuffing, golden roast potatoes,

colourful cooked veges and thick savoury gravy –

comfort food to warm girls and fellows

Fairy on the Christmas tree please grant a special wish for me

May I have a drum, a red car and a big lolly pop tree

I have been good this year doing lots of reading and writing

I’ve been a martyr at school, hardly done any fighting

My sister is easy she wants a pram and a dolly that cries

Can I ask your indulgence for just a mo?
and to picture a scene with me?
It’s cold and it’s started snowing
And down there, close to the sea
There’s an empty bus shelter and an old cardboard box
And a man on a bench looking grim
Do you remember that day when you were shopping in town
Can you not remember him?

A “Christmas Present” Limerick

I have such a wonderful wife.
Her gift giving was especially rife.
I got a schnauzer headcover
I really love her…
It was the best Christmas of my life.
