To The Correct
Conditions

Are We Wise?
I Wonder,
But Have
My Doubts

It Seems
That Humanity
Is Quite Susceptible
To Herd Mentality

Leaving The Thinking
And Logical Reasoning
To Others And Then
Waiting For Them
To Explain What To Do

We All Know
Time Flies
And That Life
Is Short

But That Doesn’t
Seem To Stop Us
From Putting
Things Off
To Another Time,
‘Til Someday

We Believe
Since We Woke Up
This Morning
We Will Tomorrow

No Need To Worry
Or Rush Things
All In Due Time,
Someday!

There Is No Someday!
We Only Have Now!
Someday Is The Seductive
Delusion Of Fools
Who Won’t Ever
Turn Their Dreams
Into Reality

THE GREETING PLACE

There is no demarcation zone,
no welcome platform
where we can greet
with fanfare
the arrival
of the newest
and next
moment in time,
Now  

Track To Kindness

The poem pierces the night
a whistle that rounds the track
awakening the memory of
what not yet has happened

C’est la vie

I got to thinking
Life’s too short
for anything else
save that I ought
to do and think
and be about
and nothing else
there is no doubt

Here after here
Gone after gone
Month after month
Dawn after dawn

Laugh after laugh
Tear after tear
Dusk after dusk
Year after year

Nostalgia revisited

(The sky at 5:30 this morning, or somewhere thereabouts)

Skipping over puddles,

They vibrated with our giggles

Slam dunks in waste baskets

Crunchy sound of wheels on gravel,

On a cold wind blown night

A stare-down with the freelance tomcat

Occupied rainy days

Change

Random, shapeless

Refreshing, captivating, inspiring

Now and One Day

NOW, IT wouldn’t hurt to talk to a stranger,

–but one day, we’re not gonna be strangers anymore.

Now I’m falling for you,

–but one day, I’ll fall all over again.

Now I’m asking you for a friendship,

–but one day, I’ll ask for your heart.

Now

I OPEN my eyes, sleepiness’ still clinging
It was just another morning
I managed to get up, laziness’ still embracing
It was just another class.

The next morning didn’t have any difference at all
Just another day to breathe, another class to attend
But not until my eyes caught someone
They recognize you even before I did.
