the wise to flee
to find shelter
from the coming storm

Majestically it stands there

Surveying all it sees

The winter branches barren

Devoid of lush green leaves.

Priestess of Spring

Mother of Earth Renewal,

Life Springing from her Gentle Hands,

~ Autumns Arrangements

~ Autumns Arrangements

Crimson, lemon-drops, tangerine
Leaflets morph from their colours green,
A grand display of Mother Natures cape
Meandering, colours emerge in her wake

Her breath, a frosty hint exhaled
Lies across the land, flowers paled
And pumpkins, gourds, stalks reaped
Stand on display arranged at their peak

First Blush

Walking by the lake

Solitude envelopes me

Morning bird songs fill the air

A symphony of sounds and sights to see

Swans glide in synchronous dance

Cormorants dive fast to catch a meal

Feathered friends embrace the sun to heal

Winter

Winds blowing from the north

winter gains its strength

storms are waiting in the wings

to hit us with vengeance

destruction and death

order of the day

nature taking its revenge

on mankind’s carelessness
