The Lone Wolf Lives
In Solitary Silence
He Lays Down
Alone
At Night
A Master Hunter
An Endless Hunger
An Aching Need
He Has To Fight

Night clouds in December sky
hide the moon as it floats by
eliciting from me a sigh
at its beauty here
Pausing here to look up high
my eyes they really can’t stay dry
as tears of joy I freely cry
for its beauty here

The moonlight on the water
caught me by surprise
made me simply stop and stare
and open wide my eyes
For here there was a marvel
unparalleled and fine
and on the beach down here this evening
it was entirely mine

Crescent moon up in the blue
bright shining in the sky
on a brittle winter morning
really caught my eye
Ethereal there through the trees
daylight just a whisper
I stood and watched her for a while
just in case I missed her

My cheeks inherited
these whispered blushes.
Above them sits one jewel
in the traverse
of my brow’s flesh,
a stream of teardrops,
permanently nestle
in the body of my face –

by Nick Anthony
The full moon rises,
Glistening like a fresh silver dollar
As Mother Earth lets off steam
And unbuttons her stifling collar
To feel the breeze of the Sun’s departure.
Eagerly I wait at the window
For my moon to come home,
So I can feel the breeze of his sigh
As he sits on his leathery black throne
And watches me with contentment from on high.

So are the seas, bright even in this darkness,
Bright like eyes, who’ve not succumb to death,
With lights still inside, peering from the soul;
This is the ocean, and I linger by her, a ghost.
