By Charles Robert Lindholm
She had a shy tongue
before she met him
she was young, but not a child
Poems, poets, poetry, writing, poetry challenges
I still feel..
your lips on mine
as I held you close
and your hair did shine
under a million stars
when everything seemed to align.
I wonder if..
you think about me too
when you lie in bed at night
under a million different stars
knowing my heart still belongs to you.
I look at her as she dreams her mind away,
like she always does.
And I cannot find the words I want to say,
every one of my thoughts seems to have run away.
She smiles quietly and holds my hand,
and stars in far away galaxies would jubilantly dance.
My heart pumps more blood to my mind that does not understand,
how can a simple girl own my world with a single glance?
By Wendy Norman (Seafarrwide)
She sat by the window in her castle tower
Hearing the roar of the deep sea shore
Watching the waves roll in each hour
Dreaming faraway places his ship will stray
Will he forget her in a night or a day
Remembering his kiss on her smooth brow
Feeling the grains of sand trickle by the hour
