Without Fear

by blackandwhiteartist

I TOOK your hand and hold it tight
I don’t want you out of my sight
When in darkness you gave me light
And it is coz of love, you fight.

In times of these I need to be strong
And you’ll be staying there for how long?
Waiting for you, my tears are prolonged
But it’s by your side where I belong.

When i was still yours
all the words i whispered
have no meaning now,
they’ve withered and died
like us.

Milk No Sugar

by journeyintopoetry

I wonder about the

words I write.

I know I say they’re for you

but is it safe,

to pour myself into a

glass jug like this,

vulnerable, exposed?

Maybe you will just

stir me into your tea.

Breadboard

by Martin Shone

Oh, my camera why are you so rubbish
the most perfect sunset I have seen in a long time
and you refuse to do it justice.

Oh, but I can see it for now
orange, total orange
dark orange
burnt orange
blues
and blacks
and blues
and reds
and purple
and white
and orange
with the brightest

it makes us who we are.

Of sunsets and swings – a sestina

by Sorrows In A Serenade

first attempt at sestina! 🙂

The subtle glimmers of first light
Begin their charming
Magic on the green grass where swings Lie
The ancient encasement dropped
And burdened swings slowly bow
Then rise

Yet the swing with its rose
It couldnt outmatch the light
Slashing through the trees’ bow
No soul could it charm
For even as rain drops
The lifeless swings lay.

When Night Fall

by blackandwhiteartist

THE BODY falls hard
a throbbing pain in the back
but in a moment
comfortable encompasses
when night fall,

The eyes beg for a close
filled with too much reality
but in a moment
escaped tears trickle
when night fall,

The time without care just goes on
as fast as the faster among the fastest
but in a moment
it fools us as if slowing itself
when night fall,

Wish –

by Sorrows In A Serenade

I wish I could sing you the songs of the seasons.
The flaming warm summer, the lively spring.
The coppery transformation of autumn, the silver cool of winter.

I wish I could tell you stories of life and death
The birth of a winged dream,
The sorrows in a serenade.

I wish I can lie beside you.

The raindrop

by Devina

I am the raindrop

That falls on her

Cheek in the drizzle

I cool her hot face

Troubled by betrayal

*

I am a raindrop

On your porch rail

I observe you reading

The papers, your reactions

Your annoyance,

Your anger

*

INSTINCTUAL

by Unga Bunga Girl

Like knowing how to breathe,
Nearby, I feel the vibrations from your walk.
Distinctive, without realizing it, they nourish me.

Eating.
Sleeping.

Anxiety before a storm.

Avoiding pain even though it can’t be stopped,
Fear in the face of anguish.

Choosing The Chosen

by blackandwhiteartist

I CAN be your enemy
but I chose not to.

I can hurt you
but I chose not to.

I can betray you
but I chose not to.

I can make you cry
but I chose not to.

You murderer!

by Sorrows In A Serenade

You are a murderer.
Your hands,
Your body, are
Stained with blood
And its rusty copper metallic scent.
Exotic, you say.

Look in your closet,
The evidence is there.
A skeleton.
Declaring your malicious cruelty

You proclaim your elegance,
You say you’re “high-class”
How apt, to live miles away while others do your
Dirty work
To satiate your craving wants.

You

by Sanchari

You decided not to talk,

you let me ramble on.

You didn’t think it important,

to tell me what was wrong.

You went on with your life,

found other birds of a feather.

You didn’t once remember,

the tears we shared together.

A Walk in the Woods

by Wendy Strohm

(for a little girl who not only believes in fairies but has seen one too!)

Come for a walk in the woods with me

See what we find under the old oak tree

There are fairies here so I am told

Let’s wait and see what may unfold

Hush dear one and try to be still

If we’re quiet we might and if lucky we will

starlight — poem

by billgncs

Under the stars, I think of you…

Northern star, guiding light
Bring my love closer tonight
We dine and laugh, holding hands
Unspoken need between woman and man.

Two people see the world so clearly
Their vision crisp in black and white,
What hope for them but in the starlight…

Blissful Sadness

by Bodhirose

A Silhouette of Sadness

A Silhouette of Sadness (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

New mothering
brought me joy.
Blissful willingness
I gave of myself.

Nothing perturbed
or was too much
to tend to this babe
that I had birthed.

Snow Leopard

by Bodhirose

Posted by Bodhirose

Hidden, rare, you escape our questing eyes
Dizzying altitudes are where you lay
Tibetan mountains offer sly disguise
Shadows darkened blend with your spotted gray
While romping blue sheep are your choicest prey
Slate-stone, thick, heavy coat…wide, padding paws
Keep you fixed… and warm…as you slink away
Naps on the cliffs, yawning jaws..stretching claws

Silvern Shadows

by Martin Shone

***

besides this little pool
this little pool of silvern shadows
there sits
two of the finest little creatures
you are ever likely to see

one whose wings are so very fragile
almost see-through in their
pinkenish
pastel
honeyed
ever so slightly
silverish
with tiny tiny
tiny ripples of rhythm
as they flutter in her happiness
at being besides this
little pool of silvern shadows
holding hands with
