Lighty-up-Llama

Last year I got a llama
for my birthday just for fun
it lights up of an evening
powered daily by the sun
And then glows different colours
as the evening takes a hold
from red to green to purple
and blue to yellow gold
At the bottom of our garden
it makes for cheery sight
as along with many others
it glows throughout the night

The Christmas Tree Shines

And if I thought…

And if I thought the sunset view
was a lovely sight
Just imagine my reaction
when I saw it later at night

The Music

Back lit through the dry-ice swirl
the player comes to fore
his nimble fingers on the frets
the crowd cries out for more

The singer steps up to the mic
narration in the song
the scene is set, the story told
the crowd sings loud along

Lights across the city

Bright lights across the city
and me fifteen floors high
I have a perfect vista
‘Neath a dark and starless sky

A Moment In Thought

Wherever you might be when you look to the sky
Do you take the time to enjoy the beauty above
Too often we are so caught up with our worries
We miss looking at such an expression of love.

Midnight lights

If truth be told
At past midnight
Newcastle is
an awesome sight
