HAIKU:  IF YOU KNOW YOURSELF

If you know yourself

You will know the truth you need

Bugle

Sounds
       they rolled merrily
       with tongues
       on these ears

Speaking
        they hurled silences
        of their hearts
        on these nerves

Balloons

Feelings float as balloons
Inseparable by birth
Fly we do, in loving pleasure
Into skies of pain

Handful of Water

In happy eyes
My hands fell in love
With the plant of knowledge

The time came
I poured my river of joy
in one handful of water

~ From the Beginning

I questioned the bird

The bee

The leaf upon a tree

The earth

The sky

The cloud

The thunder rolling loud

The ocean vast and wide

Pushing at every side

~ Seek, to Find

~ Seek to Find

Seeking to glean inspiring wisdom
Upon the ancients we all must call
Scribed in tablets, papyrus, conceptions
Alchemy, the philosopher’s stone recall

Deep

Is that love deep,
that looks not at hate
as a possibility

Quite chuffed

 

Walking home through Worthing
Having had a Cornish ale
I happen chanced upon a sign
‘The Worthing library sale’

Beneath the earth
Modern hands unveil me as prized possessions –
Script me from a modern mind-set
Freeze frame me in images
Sarcophagus, symbols, hieroglyphics
Scrolls, papyrus, pottery
Sample my mummified remains
Yet, I remain obscure
Great minds seek the unknown
In agony, some concede
In ecstasy some succeed, relentless
In dispute, competition ensues

~ Insatiable ~

 

Neath the covers with flashlight glow
I’d read until the light dimmed low
‘The Readers Digest’ handed down
A plethora of words there to be found

Bells Of Peace

a rope of knowledge to pull us far
as a clapper in a sound bow

Life

Life, an endless road

To look around, to watch

Discern a wild leaf from a toad

Take one’s spirit up a notch

A persistent search inward to see

To read what you really are

Not imagine what you should be

A wise path to take you far

From where i sit

From where i sit
your arms are wide,
but head so small
between my hands.
