A WAY WITH WORDS

They say
I have a way
with words 

I am honored
by the thought
but sincerely
doubt it,

There Isn’t Time

I hope you realise before it’s already too late.. that there isn’t time.

There isn’t time for you to feel worthless,
There isn’t time for you to feel sorry for yourself,

There isn’t time to sink into the waters of the past,
There isn’t time to recount the failures of yesterday,
There isn’t time to dwell on relationships that didn’t last,
There isn’t time to repress the words you always wanted to say..

As You Go Through Your Worst

As you go through your worst of the worst,
I want you to know, someone has been through it and out before

someone has felt this pain of heart before,
someone has grown this hopeless before,
someone has thought he’d lost it all before,

I carried a pocket full of dreams

Some slipped through faltered seams

But still I carried on, permanent failure

Was not an option:

Sunrise and sunset the most beautiful and glorious time of the day, writes colorful expressions of God’s love for us. Music is to the soul what the sunset is to the day, indescribable expressions spoken entirely without words.

Music, life’s sunset God paints across my soul,

Singing clouds of glory making my life whole.

Colors ever-changing strumming melodies divine

Bringing memories forgotten back to present time.

Indescribable expressions spoken entirely without words

Glorious harmonies, like none we’ve ever heard.

You fell

Scrapped your knees

The wheels kept turning

On those sidewalk skates

As if to say, “try again”…

haiku: anchor

keeping us grounded
tiny moments are anchor
in this rounded world

time

one mistake can change a lifetime

nothing can bring back time

time capsule would be just fine

go back and don’t come back

take another turn and shine

Chase The Light

Only a tunnel of light streaming through each day

For those unaware of life’s full beauty, they can’t begin to play

Just as the Day will kiss the night the dark will chase the light

It’s a choice that’s up to you to open your mind wide

To see outside the space the colours are sublime

They Know

They see

Us

Before

We see

Ourselves

Gifts

Talent

Beauty

Dreams

Kindness

Strengths

Creativity

Goodness

Greatness

Everything

That Makes

Refilled and Restored

It was late.

I was tired.

All was quiet.

I needed to hear your voice

Feathered Blessings

Sweat drips from every pore

And sun blinds me.

So much work unfinished

As my heart pounds.

Heaven’s Happy Tears

on what would be their 27^th anniversary

Dewdrops on my roses this morning

Were surely tears from heaven

As all the angels join with us

In celebrating our eternal love.

The Sojourner

The noise was deafening.

I didn’t really hear it, though.

Some spoke later,

“did you know?”

“Oh, did you hear?”

It Begins With A Seed

I will speak of your love

Even if it seems nobody’s listening.

I will love more gently.

I will proclaim your truth more loudly.

My Pentecost

It came suddenly.

This gift so long-awaited,

Yet its arrival startled me.

I had grown accustomed to my hunger

And suddenly knew it no more!

In its place came a new excitement,

A new purpose,

A new understanding,

A new path,

And a new experience of grace

Filling me to overflowing.
