When Beauty Fades

The days of her youth
Rarely written off her hood
Her shiny hair fades
As it turns white and gray

Wrinkles all over her face
Shows what life she had
Her crumpled skin speaks
Her hard-work day and night

When You Are In Me

When you express fear
I feel my spine shiver
Twitching me far and near
Scarring me as a lava river

When you are in grief
I have my heart in eyes
Though death be brief
My soul goes where yours lies

No Need For A Key

I searched for the key to happiness
Sought joy from far and wide
Looked everywhere I knew
But never looked inside
Then one day it came to me
When I stopped to take a rest
How much time I had wasted
In my search for happiness
I knew right then I’d been wrong
In that which I’d supposed
For all the time I’d sought the key
The door had never been closed!
