I’m Americas child

step into my skin

feel the burning hunger

buried deep within
see me as a gift

the future, that it is me

but I can’t chase my dreams

when I’m scared & so hungry

ma says relief is coming

pa, he says it too

leaders keep on fighting

longing to hold you

wanting to taste your tongue

and the sweetness of your lips

thirsty for a drink from your love pool

hungry for the rush of oneness

Sorrows Embrace

What but the birds shrill song

The dog’s long howl

The babies screeching cry

Prickled fur of fear

Hollow ribs of the starved

The Hunger

I often have a hunger

That engulfs me

At the most

Inopportune times.

It fills me

With a need

Far greater

Than mere desire

Always Black and White?

Hunger of mind, strange
trying hard to reach an end
To make even light bend
form opinion to never change

Hunger

There’s this hunger inside of me
A living, writhing thing of many limbs
Ever insisting, never satiated

Hunger

 

I hunger for a sweet glimpse of you,

a primitive desire to consume you.

To take you, selfishly, ravenously.

I crave your touch, gentle fingertips

on my arched back, hands tangled

in my hair, lips seeking out every

crevice. Every hidden secret nook.
