I’m sorry that I missed you
I know we would have been friends

I would have liked to have shared
walking some of life’s pathway
with you

Half hints, half hunches
Halved hopes, halved hats
Hands held, heads hidden
Hearts hug, hisses hush

Just off the beaten trail

It’s nothing grand or fancy

But it’s me in each detail

God’s Valentine

by 50djohnson

Collecting pictures of heart-shaped things in nature has been fascinating. However, when I was able to capture my very own moment of a heart in nature I was blown away by God’s love for me.  You see, I believe God works in mysterious ways to bring about good, a future, and a hope for those who trust in him. Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.”

Speak not of love and longing

Nevermore this heart to comply

Your essence was so fleeting

Now, how the years have passed by

Work-a-day sun high burnin’

Growin’ dull, respectful red and cider-cold;

Harvest hopes answered

Ripening to warm-honey gold:

From what I have found

Our Love…

by Jen Thompson

Our Love…

Our love is invisible yet I,

See it, feel it, hear it every day.

Our love can move mountains,

Can part seas and climb trees.

Our love binds us together,

And still we are both set free.

Our love protects us from dangers,

And embraces us with its passion.

Our love was once an obsession,

An all consuming heart of fixation.
