Good Teacher

by Penny Wilson Writes

You were a good teacher.

You taught my skin to delight in your caress.

My fingers learned to search for yours.

I learned to listen for your whispers.

My sighs learned your name.

My desire learned to match your heat.

My pulse learned to quicken with your embrace.

You taught me to thirst for your touch.

I learned the loneliness of empty nights.

You taught my tears to fall in your absence.

You taught me how to say goodbye.

I learned of a broken heart.

Bedroom Constellations

by Nick Anthony

Loose a bright and strong ray of sunlight,
Wrap it twice, nice and tight around my neck,
And string me up to hang from the plastic stars
That glow in the dark above your bed each night.

I promise not to make a sound as I wiggle around

HER MOSAIC HEART

by thereluctantpoet

By Charles Robert Lindholm

He Left Her
With Her Heart
In Pieces On The Floor
Shattered In The Moment
He Said, “I Don’t Love You Anymore”

She Sat Alone In Darkness,
In Silence And With Tears
And Finally Found The Pieces
She Had Searched For Through The Years

She Rescued All The Pieces
Left Lying On The Floor
Her Heart’s No Longer Fragile
It’s Stronger Than Before

I Wonder If

by markfahmy

her

I still feel..
your lips on mine
as I held you close
and your hair did shine
under a million stars
when everything seemed to align.

I wonder if..
you think about me too
when you lie in bed at night
under a million different stars
knowing my heart still belongs to you.

I realize the waves keep coming in one by one.

When you first left my life, it ripped a hole in me.

Funny it was huge to me but no one else could see.

Time

by Nick Anthony

I don’t hate you.
It’s not you who fuels the insomnia
That tortures me in bed
Each night as I lay awake,
Desperately longing to take back
What I lost.

Because I didn’t lose you.
You were never mine to have.
I know that now.
I’ve accepted that you were free
To meet him and abandon me.
And I cherish our time before:
When it was just us two.

For Just Five Minutes

by 50djohnson

Blood moon and solar eclipse day on 1640 077

Unsuspecting heartache hiding behind trust’s revolving door,

Jumping out leaving  broken hearts in pieces shattered on the floor.

One unsuspecting moment when hurt shatters  dreams

Changing love into chaos which cannot be redeemed.

The Love’s Gone Stale

by K. T. Dibert

The love has gone stale
Like a beached whale.
Sitting in the sun,
Not loved by anyone;
I played the game –
What a shame that was.
You were here, and then you were gone.
Where do I belong?
