Business Trip

by Nick Anthony

For my moon to come home,
So I can feel the breeze of his sigh
As he sits on his leathery black throne
And watches me with contentment from on high.

And fearlessly protected me
From ever encroaching reality.

With a side-dish stiff-arm clothesline,

us

Poem by Wendy Norman (Seafarrwide)

The clouds drifted across the sky as I gazed from my little bed up so high

A sense of aloneness crept over me I was just a mere sweet child of three

Children would push and taunt me so sometimes pointing and telling me go

Girl, you’ll be a woman soon

by Devina

(Albert Lynch (Peruvian artist, 1851-1912) A Young Woman. Via Pinterest, click to see)

Girl child, listen to your mama

Listen to your daddy

You might scream and shout

But more often than not they know

What they’re talking about

Because once upon a time

They were where you are

Young, new, untried and not yet at your prime
