EVERYDAY IS CHRISTMAS – REPRISE

by thereluctantpoet

By Charles Robert Lindholm

Everyday

Is Christmas

For Me

I Wake Up Each Morning

With Gifts All Around

But The Gift That Is Best,

Is The Smile In Your Eyes

On The Pillow Next To Me

Each Day Is A New Day

That’s Given To Me

With Surprises Ahead

And Now’s Yet To Be

The Seasons Come

And The Seasons Go

With Each Day For Me

Tied Up In A Bow

Each Day Is Christmas

A New Gift For Me

With Thanksgiving Blessings

When I Wake Up To See

Your Smiling Eyes

In Love With Me

Our Unknowing

May our unknowing lead to breakthroughs and growth,

In Life I Discovered

by markfahmy

in-life-i-discovered

In life
I discovered
that the more you give thanks ,
the more you receive.

the more you recite the good moments,
the more they come running towards you.
the more you wonder in awe at this vast Earth,
the more you are born again like new.

Willingly for Me—Easter

by 50djohnson

Poetry challenge: Easter poem.

Type = ArtScans RGB : Gamma = 1.882

Christ willingly took upon himself your sins and mine that day.

In order that you and I would never pay what we deserved to pay.

In agony and pain He cried out ,”Father, forgive them, they know not what they do! ”

Even in death as His skin was scourged, His thoughts were of me and you.

In a time where many have gone crazy
TV, newspapers, internet full of lunacy
It’s getting hard to find anything positive
We see so many feel no reason to live.

A Thankful Heart is Open to Blessings
because it is closed to worry, doubt, and wailing.

A Thankful Heart is Filled with Love

Aglow in gratitude
Thankful for…

Enjoying today

Thank you
To all who
Were there with love

Sometimes

by tjtherien

More than just platitudes
Sometimes kindness is just that…kindness
And gratitude is gratitude
There are no sinister motives
There is no foul plot afoot

The first man

by james left his hat

get-attachment (11)

You were the first man

Who loved me

Who held me

The first man who cared if I was okay

The first man who came running when I needed you

My first Santa Claus

My first guidance counselor

My first couch date

The first man to lay down the law

The first man first rate.

Raggedy man

For Poetry Challenge 2

He carries a whiff of diesel

Denim smeared, greasy to the touch

Beads of sweat cool on his sun baked face

Good shirts come home from the fields

With soft frayed holes and a scent of green

A sure thing to send Ma’s ire up

Added to the broken saucer and cup

The raggedy man,

A listener, a speaker,

Father mine,
