Standing Under Understanding

 
 

We can try as hard as we might to comprehend life
Dreams always seem to be goals worth our pursuing
However feelings always seem to get in the path
As we struggle to get to the point of understanding.

Life Sucks Sometimes

life sucks sometimes, and the music stops
the flow slows and sludges like tar
and blood pounds and throbs in the ear
the eyes and ears search for – something

Lessons

Winds, in a caress blew

    leaves in new fears

Nights, in winds drew

    stars in new tears

Music knows best

The power of music
to lift and release
be it with excitement
or calming and peace
Exuding a something
you can’t quite explain
it does over and over
again and again

Child of Time

This thought
A child of time
Has no roots, to hold
Has no fruits, to bear
Then come its sisters
And it finds roots, to bear
Then come its brothers
And it finds fruits, to hold

Keep Moving, Keep Moving

Keep moving, keep moving
Fear not your brain heating
A punch on the heart, feels hard
Not by the blow of that shoe
But a mind you dress in rock

Lap of Life

The golden ball
On the summit
Of a golden mountain
Smiled as a Sun, bright

The Music

If I were a violin,
I’d set your neck
arm and chin.

The New Ice Age

As Earth spins into seasons
We spun snow upon our feet
Immobile, white with frozen eyes
We breathe through cones
A smile, melting into our teeth

These thoughts
These feelings
Flowers, upon thy hands
Hold pollens each, under wraps
Of two spirits, in one

What Is Felt

Another song that just brought thought
Something maybe I have not heard before
Words bringing the mind fresh emotions
Fresh ideas that I must now explore.

My 500th Post – For Harry

This is my 500th post here and this poem is dedicated to Harry. He has given a cozy corner indeed!

a beautiful corner you made, Harry
blessed souls find poems to marry
to beget young and fresh thought
grow plants of creativity, we got

Metal and Water

feelings, opinions, desires
made of metal, unbending
except by one’s own fire

Misunderstood

each feeling, a fruit
with a seed hidden

each feeling, a clay
eager to be shaped

Taste of Truth

my thoughts, a pan of water
submerged in its own current

your feelings, a spoon of oil
on the edge of combustion

On Its Own

A love felt, true
When it stands
On its own
Be it alone or together

Feelings and Vegetables

Fear in relationships
An onion, strange
Peel layers as you much
To find its meaning
In the end, an empty space
Nothing, in a fear

Why not be an eagle aloft?
Have the earth in the eye
Why not be a flower soft?

How soon we try to be logical

We listen to thought than feeling

Failure of relationship

We don’t realize it

God’s way to arrange

With His ambit and range

Chose to make a change

He made a woman soul

Without blemish or mole

A beauty that is whole

The sparkle of her verve

Stands the test of nerve

No doubt, No reserve
