The colorful leaves

AUTUMN

the change is so obvious, so dramatic
leaves changing color
bird’s flying south
the chill in the air 

Tri-Haiku VI (Autumn)

Gold from the sunset
falls as such with autumn leaves
settling to the sea

A sea of crunching
Yellow, reds and gold are here
there beneath my feet

And just like the beach
this November paradise
Autumn comes again

A Sudden Surprise

Living the Night

 “People cry not because they are weak, but because they have stayed strong for too long”

 

Yes, I am living the night

For the world outside

But there is a storm raging

In my world inside

 

Limerick – Fall

Mr. and Mrs. Bee went to skydive to be light

Balloons in belly of a sky, in suits tight

Lighter than air, thin as cloud

Feather landing on moon, proud

Quuen-in-law stung, they so fell back in fright

AUTUMN

They begin popping out
From the crowd,

Fall!

Hazy light
Sun low in sky
Longer night
Summer flowers dim and die

Harvest of corn
Bales of hay
Fields look falorn
Pine trees sway

But, orange galore!
Gourds and pumpkins abound

Cool breezes & hot cider…

Pumpkin pies & cozy fires,

Fresh, picked apples, filling baskets…

Warmed toes under thick blankets

Fallen leaves crumpling under our feet…

Children going trick-or-treat

Fall, welcome…

Surrounded
By the warm birch trees
In the cold.
I can tell it’s cold. —

The tall white birch trees
Stand like soldiers on guard

I Am Truth

I am truth
in its most natural form;
I have brothers and sisters who are
different
tho just as true.
I sometimes stand alone

A Fond Farewell

Veins of auburn and burnt orange
Adorn the wooded mountain side.

A dense mist shrouds the valley
Hanging so low as to blur
The boundary between cloud and fog.

Winter comes to town

Autumn at St Mary’s
the yellow and the gold
the sunshine on the falling leaves
hides the biting chill
Crunching footfall as I walk
A blanket crisp and brown
as breath escapes in tiny clouds
and winter comes to town

Rubies-Haiku

Surrounded by red
Rubies more precious than gold
Such treasure have I

October dawned

With rain today October dawned
Autumn’s finally here
but I’m grateful for the summer
which has brought us lots of cheer

Autumn stepped out of Summer

Pumpkins, squash, dried corn
Yellow leaves, red and orange
Windy blustery days
Walking through a corn maze

Flowers fading, some brown
Fields a golden crown

Crimson leaves,

An array of splendid colors.

Gusts of wind, with sounds of hymns

I Rise, I Fall-We Rise, We Fall

I rise, I fall

That is the mode of life – i’m told

Never knowing where next to fall,

I glide along with society,

for that is the code.

 

Autumn’s Scenery

Autumn leaves toss to – fro on the road;

blithesome, windswept, one or two rise.

Stop, hesitate, cartwheel along my side.

Two hearts collide and it seems that things are right
How it happened is not exactly known, but you proceed
Before long thoughts of each other occupy your night.

~ Autumns Arrangements

Crimson, lemon-drops, tangerine
Leaflets morph from their colours green,
A grand display of Mother Natures cape
Meandering, colours emerge in her wake

Her breath, a frosty hint exhaled
Lies across the land, flowers paled
And pumpkins, gourds, stalks reaped
Stand on display arranged at their peak

The Turning

 

Turning now
the green will fade
to liquid gold
of Autumn shade
Past equinox
less sunlight hours
But warm enough
for many flowers
