New Years Eve comes Once a Year,
Offering Laughter, Renewal, Good Cheer;

Beauty held me captivated
as I stood rooted to the spot
A golden light from golden sky
(Though it was far from hot)

The days are getting shorter
Quite unlike my face
Which gets longer by the minute
With Autumn’s quickening pace
It’s easy to get mopey
When I hear that cold wind moan
And the rain that’s splashing down outside
Confines me to my home

A Grass And Shrub

To expect, to see reality
Diverge in meaning
As do a grass and shrub
Teaching life in lessons

Falling While Rising

In rising mountains
Of expectation
We create valleys
Portions of self
Of bottomless hell

Expectation

Anxious, restless mind,

A call, a sign? ~motherly
