She rested her head
softly on my shoulder
as I gave her a gentle embrace

I DROPPED A PEBBLE IN A POND

I dropped a pebble in a pond

and watched the ripples run

racing toward a distant shore

because of what I’d done

 

                             

 I knew that soon they’d wash ashore

with a playful, warm embrace

or am I just being protected

while I’m “recharged”

with Your love

REAL TIME

Separated by time and space

denied the warmth of Her gentle embrace

Her words they kiss me, though I know

I will never touch Her face

Sunrise embrace

Along the western esplanade
out across the sea
A golden winter promise
reached out its arms to me
So I stood a little while
awestruck and swathed in grace
as it wrapped its arms around me
in a sunrise warm embrace

Bed of Fingers

dice, on this bed of fingers

found dreams to taste

snuggled soft

in sharp edges of sweet

and in warmth of bitter

Our Little Dance

Sometimes you surprise me
And you’re everything I need
Sometimes you forsake me
And I’m left here all alone

Sweet Symphony

Your Embrace Surrounding Me

The Caress of Silence

Wake in the Darkness

.

Silence Caressing the Soul

Shivering Warmth

.

In the Lush silhouette of shadows

Beneath the Hush of eventide

Cradled by Your Strength

Song of the sea

 

Bold the seagulls’ cry
reminds me of the sea
just a short walk away from home
waiting there for me

Strong the oceans’ call
I can’t ignore for long
brings me back to its embrace
woos me with its song

Sleep

 

Burning quietly in the night
a single flame flickered
reminding me in its yellow glow
of a distant place
where memories linger
soft in the warm whimsy
of a cathartic embrace.

Tendrils

as a tendril, splays the heart
twining with ends that never meet
dragged infirm by its own slender weight

Love Can Only Be Defined By A Kiss

Love can only be defined by a kiss
A tender touch, a comforting embrace
Is expressed with respect and tenderness
The calloused hand caressing silken face

Distant

Distant when I see,

You’re an elusive glory,

Heart pounding when you come closer,

I hope it does not falter.

I see you for a moment,

Then the world becomes silent.

Tiny Dancer.

Arms wrapped together.

They rise above her head.

Toes pointed, muscles taught,

her dress the colour of red.

She spins around effortlessly,

her routine a shattered dream.

Flaunting limbs, passionate play,

forgotten memories of a silent scream.

Her mind protects her true self.

Goodbye and Always

Your warm embrace, Your chilling face,

 I lose it all, then I just fall.

I give and love,  I free the dove.

You’re gone away, my love’s astray.

Your mystery, can’t hide from me.

When I’m around, to you I’m bound.

My heart can see, set the truth free,

For all this time,  I know you’re mine.

Loved One.

I can’t force your heart to race

like mine does with a stutter

every time I see your face.

I cannot make butterflies flutter

in your tummy when we embrace

or with every word I utter.
