As stars like diamonds
Gathered in a darkened sky
Night became as day

Light fills my garden
Yellow into golden here
Shining like diamond

The evening of the year

 

Beauty wears a frown
as Autumn colours fade and die
The Summer’s warmth now distant
as the year it hurries by

December looms. Finality
Twenty-fifteen almost done
Now in the throws of Winter
the Spring has far to come

Diamond Diggers

moments but, to behold the shine
from uncovered gem stones
ploughing deep into earth

Balls of fire fight

in the sky, the winner takes

The borders of town,

January’s watchman lowers

Industrial warehouse evening shutters

On a wet gone-along day.

Drowning me in the air
