Delight

Bleak this green into the grey
a salt-laced winter wind
from a prevailing westerly
full in the face that grinned
and shivering at the whitened shore
to far horizon seen
the figure hunched to winter cold
knows full where he has been

lying in your arms

in contentment and delight

AFFINITY

affinity
the afternoon and evening
the morning and night
chasing each other
around the world
in endless delight

Three Alpacas

We had a walk in the forest
and the woods round about
The weather was warm
and the sunshine was out
Then full of high spirits
it was back for some brunch
as it was too late for breakfast
and too early for lunch

Bugle

Sounds
       they rolled merrily
       with tongues
       on these ears

Speaking
        they hurled silences
        of their hearts
        on these nerves

Joy

Whenever I see sunsets
out over the sea
I experience delight
with a feeling of glee

Double Wonder

your double coat of grey
melted the soil, into my breath
as my earth soaked
in your balm of silver pearls
