When It Happened
It Must Have Been
A Subtle Thing

Coloring In A Book
Drawing On A Blank Page
Singing To Myself
Pretending And Make Believe,
Imagining

When we write

In the small hours I sat
with my pen and I wrote
for the words were just flowing
and worthy of note
And they weren’t telling stories
at least, not ones of fiction
yet their eloquence still
came alive with their diction

One More Burned Out and Innocently Gone

There’s miles ‘till dawn –

Even the moon’s moving on.

Another day, another song;

One more burned out and innocently gone.

Hat’s to Selfie

Self Nurture

Blessed is this quiet meal.

Blessed is the peace I feel.

Blessed is my pillow at night.

Blessed is my reading light.

A Loving Caress – form writing

The more you pull off

‘In The Fire’

Crackling
fierce
and starving flames
lick up the air around me.

‘Three-Ring Circus’

Carnival
music plays
Round and round it goes.
In and out of ears
Washing over brains.

‘If Life Were a Dream…’

If life were a dream…
Would yours be a fairy tale?
Or something else?

‘In His Face II’

Behold,
magnificence!
Heaven’s image borne
Adorned
in majesty.

‘Enemy Within’

Positioned on the front lines—
primed for battle.
Gaze fixed forward
—focus
fierce.

‘Memory’

Impressed into my shores,
no distant memory.

‘O, Voice’

Voices come and voices go,
Scuffling sandals to-and-fro,
People scoff in my direction.
Filthy!

‘Letters’

 

Meaning fastened to your characters,
Order demanded in your line,
Capitals are no lower actors,
Left alone you cannot shine.

Walls closing in, chained,

Slithering into nothing,

Sly, creative mind
