UNDER THE SPELL OF A LOVER’S MOON

Under The Spell
Of A Lover’s Moon
Her Heart Was
Once Broken

With The Foolish
Dreams And Lies
Of Youth
And Young Love

She No Longer Cries
For What Was Lost
And Could Have Been
So Long Ago,
Except In The Midnight Light
Of A Lover’s Moon

When Forgotten
Memories Escape
Her Heart And
Invade Her Dreams

She Found
The Strength
Inside Her
Heart And Soul

To Stand Up 

To Forgive
To Forget
To Let Go
And To Move On

She Looked Around
And Found
A Different Path
For Her Life
That Is Her Own

The One She Shares
With Her Daughter

Hypocritical Oath

Not just anyone can kill a baby;
It takes a degree to commit that crime.
The doctor’s conscience will hurt him—maybe,
But the guy on the street will do some time.

Split

Make up your mind.

Do you believe you are a star
falling to earth?

Heavenward is the water
rising from the ocean back into your hands.

The Void

Prisoner in this mind,

With fears and doubts rampantly running,

Screams echoing in the tumbling darkness

As I grope and claw for Light,

For Breath,

I saw a poster that asked a question
Is “old enough to know better” a time
It made me wonder if that age exists
Or is it just another reason to rhyme.

when thoughts collide
in an attempt to choose
unable to take a side
indecisions do confuse
