There are always New Year’s resolutions
that end up broken
faster than a speeding bullet 

Daily goals
Weekly goals
Bucket lists
Wish lists
Dreams,

Loving You

Loving you
did not come naturally
and you sure don’t make it easy.

Not, Never I

Surrender, not I,
I will pluck a stem of hemlock, eat it,

let be licked by a savage storm at sea, no havens
no safe harbors for me, I would rather be beaten

than surrender, rather be severed from my legs
than lie down, rather run

Another Haiku

Predicament harsh,
Impossible conundrum–
Gird for harder climb.

Christmas poem: Challenge.

Quiet moments watching the snow fall
Thinking of times past and days yet to be
We mold our future by the days gone by
Like most, I think of those close to me.

A cushioned layer dampening all sound,

moonlight on white making darkness brighter,

I shiver and wrap the blankets tighter,

as snow is falling, softly to the ground.

The heavy heart inside me grows lighter

as the world outside, wrapped in it’s new shroud,

Unwell, tired, baggy eyes,

barely open, is the end nearby?,

or maybe its not, he seems all right,

face aglow, eyes shining bright,

as LOVE walks by, silly boy!

Poetry challenge, Loop poetry.

Loop Poetry is a poetry form created by Hellon.

There are no restrictions on the number of stanzas nor on the syllable count for each line.

In each stanza, the last word of the first line becomes the first word of line two, last word of line 2 becomes the first word of line 3, last  word of line 3 becomes the first word of line 4.

This is followed for each stanza. The rhyme scheme is abcb.
