Some say,
An angel was sitting in the passenger seat;
Sometimes, I believe it, too.
Some say,
The good only goes for so long;
The well will dry up soon.
Whether it rains or shines,
Someone is on my side:
Poems, poets, poetry, writing, poetry challenges
Death peeks around
Waiting on the fence
Child follows parent
Examples one hopes
Would be avoided
i.
The nauseating consistence
of vertical chrome-lemon lines
racing my mind to the stoplight,
should’ve been proof enough
-a warning.
ii.
Jagged velvet-toned crystals
highlight cracks in asphalt
around white vignettes.
Metal.
Everywhere.
iii.
Looking down
through cracked spectacles
at despondencey:
I’m wishing that I too
could underline
the spiderwebbing blemish
of perfection;
the complexity of death…
simplified.
