And I Never Got To Play Hooky
Way Back When
It Seems The Idea Of It
Makes Me Feel Happy
(Some Call It A Vacation
But I Like The Rebel Sound
Of “Hooky” Instead)

I Will Be In A Cabin
On The Big Blue Desert
In Search Of The Midnight Sun
And Some Additional Fun

I Hope You Will Miss Me
While I’m Gone???

Curtains visible through the windows
Dusted, arranged and silently waiting
Memories abound, yet no one shows.

Cabin Walls

Those cabin walls saw it all, what was and could never be…
Day after day we tried to stay there, hiding from reality.
A moment passed between us that could have changed my life,
but I was too scared to take a chance and you left without goodbye.
Torn between right and wrong and what I wanted to be true,
Never knowing if I could count on love to see us through…
So I let it fly away- like a caged bird aching to be free,
Never knowing if you really gave your heart to me.
